Showcasing her collection at the Palazzo Morando, Milan, which was made possible by Vogue Talent, an avenue for designers across Europe and beyond to display their works to an international audience, Lanre explains the inspiration behind her Rock Delight.
According to her she drew inspiration for the collection from the famous Olumo Rock, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nigeria that sits in the ancient city center of Abeokuta – a name which means ‘under the rock’ – which is the largest city and capital of Ogun state in Southwest Nigeria.
The fashion preview was seen by fashion heavyweights Anna Wintour and Franca Sozzani and Suzy Menkes and from Nigeria Omoyemi Akerele and we are expecting to see the full collection at the Guaranty Trust Bank Lagos Fashion and Design Week.
