Exclusive Interview: Wale Bello





It’s a new year, with a new year comes new ideas. So for this year we decided to include exclusive interviews with top players in the fashion industry, from models to designers to photographers and even bloggers and stylists.


Bello Olawale Sodiq needs no introduction in the fashion industry. Asides being a top fashion model signed to Beth Modelling Agency, he also won Mr Ideal in 2010 at the age of 22. He studied mechanical engineering in Olabisi Onabanjo University. He hails from Kwara state and comes from a family of 7 kids of which he's the last. He recently got nominated for model of the year by West African Fashion Award. Haute9ja got the chance to exclusively ask him five quick questions. 



Why modelling?
I got a lot of comments about my physique back then and encouragement that I should try modelling. I was also inspired by David Agbodi's profile who is my role model.





So if you where not modelling, what would you be doing?
I would probably be working in the oil and gas sector.



What was your first fashion gig?
Model of africa fashion party.



Who are the top 5 fashion brands you've worked for?
Mai atafo inspired, tzar, orange culture , mcmeka , Lakin Ogunbanwo.



In the near future what designers would you like to model for?
Calvin Klein, Ozwald Boateng, David Bowler and many more.

He is an awesome model but I think he should relocate if he want to make it big.
