I believe in looking good at all times and in all places. People ask me "What is your personal style?" and I find myself stuttering replies. This is because I express my feelings, thoughts, emotions and what not's through fashion so therefore I can't give it a name. I might be feeling afrocentric and then I'd just grab a print danshiki, match it with a pair of trousers or shorts depending on my choice, probably have a cap on depending on the weather and sandals complete with accessories and gbam! I've expressed my mood through my outfit. It all depends on how I feel and what I have to work with. Trust me, I'm one of those people that always complain about how small our wardrobes are.(but really, my wardrobe is "limited" oooh).
Enough about me, let's talk fashion!! I'm going to be sharing one of my looks for a day-to-day basis. It's inspired by street style (don't you just love street style?? I do!!š) and it's a denim affair. So I have this denim jacket and I've had it for quite a while without knowing what to wear with it and I decided to go on a denim mission. So I pulled out my "best-est" ripped jeans( I love this jeans trousers like crazy because I actually ripped them myself so it's my baby) and because the denim jacket is quite big, I incorporated a black tee-shirt to wear inside. I chose black because it goes with anything and I don't want the attention shifting from the jacket. I then decide for shoes, I'm going to have a pop of color to set things off. So, I wore my red vans and then finished the look. I also included accessories a beaded necklace, rings(I LOVE rings!!!), my wristwatch and finally two bead bracelets.
By the way, I hope everyone understands the importance of accessorizing? I'm not saying you should be a Charly Boy ooh! (No shade) but it is an essential part of dressing up. Accessorizing in even the tiniest way can speak volumes. So please if you don't accessorize, try it. Baby steps first. If you are already in the accessorizing team, kudos to you!
