bringing you short interview quickies with major talents in the Nigerian
fashion industry. Here are his answers;
Tell me about you:
I am Michael Bassey, a graduate of Uniben who studied
Political Science and Public Administration and I’m currently running a
master’s program in project and human resource management. I’m a professional model,
a business consultant who is a member of Adam brooks consulting Helsinki,
Finland. I love music, cooking, reading, surfing the internet, travel, games,
movies, building proposals, graphic designing, playing with kids and more
music. I am very liberal also very good at multi-tasking.
Tell us about your journey so far in
the fashion industry:
Wow that is a huge one… Well it all started in 2008, when a
close friend Fredrick Kerelode a former top model coached me into the modelling
business. After several auditions for fashion events, I got my first show at
the Nigerian Television fashion show (NTFS) which got me signed to Modela
models management; they trained me in practical ethics of catwalk on the ramp.
Several months later, I got signed by Bunor Model Management owned by Frank
Osodi he taught me a lot more about the business
professionally. After a few years I got signed and managed by Beth Models
Management owned By Mrs. Aisien Elohor. Since then it’s been one fashion week
to another, it’s been five years of a wonderful experience.
Do tell us about the Think I Concept
Management...
Think I Concept Management is a project/business
management, PR consulting, Events consulting and image branding firm. We have
managed several projects to mention a few; Evol Fashion Show, Campus Free
Sketch, Chronicles of Pages Fashion Show, Edo international Fashion week,

University Fashion Week, Miss West Africa International and many more.
What inspired the project 'The Model’s Workshop'?
Well after years of experience I
felt it was time to give back to the industry through this medium and I thought
about it being another means of youth empowerment and more like an entrepreneurial
platform for emerging models to gain knowledge, get exposed into the high
fashion business.
The Model's Workshop is a
training and nurturing platform for new, upcoming and established Models as
well as stakeholders in the Modelling Industry. The Aim of The Model's Workshop is to foster growth in the Modelling industry, by
providing structures and grand economic purpose, which would ultimately benefit
the youths.

mind is the biggest trap to a man. Always hold to your faith with God, remember
every decision you make is your responsibility and stay healthy.

modelling?
Building contacts, learning new
things, making friends, sharing project ideas, wearing awesome cloths by
