“De Dix-Sept” Collection by Sevon Dejana

This is one attractive, daring and unusual collection from rising Nigerian fashion label, Sevon Dejana by Sevon Edikan Dejana which presents their debut collection – “De Dix-Sept” for 2015.

According to the brand, the collection title translates as “17” in French and draws its inspiration from the growing strength of women. They stated – “Over the years, things have changed and women now have a strong voice. There’s equality between both sexes, thanks to 17 influential women who have fought for their rights. Women like Joan of Arc, Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, Cleopatra, Anne Boleyn, Marie Curie, Virginia Wolf, Mother Teresa, Edith Piaf, Indira Gandhi, Sophie Scholl, Eva Peron, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Benazir Bhutto, Queen Victoria of England, Celia Sanchez and Lakshmi Sehgal.”

The capsule collection’s pieces are very much like these women – daring. Although the pieces have resemblance with the Wheizdhurm Franklyn Aesthetics but it over shines it this time.
